Eliza McKelway is an actress and mezzo-soprano based in Brooklyn, New York.  She grew up in Washington, DC, and has lived in New Zealand, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino and Vermont, as well as a 1991 Toyota Dolphin RV in which she toured the country with her band.

Most recently, she played Petra in The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant in workshop at Abrons Art Center, directed by Benjamin Viertel.  She also worked as a collaborating artist in THEBAN PLAYS, a contemporary reflection of Sophocles' Oedipus Cycle, which was in residence at The Brick Theater in January 2016.

Past work includes performances at La Mama ETC, Joe's Pub, and The Bushwick Starr, among other NYC venues.  She's recorded albums, music videos, and toured nationally as a member of the bands VALES, Shen Din Shen, Anawan, and Point Reyes.

She is a graduate of Bennington College.
